At least 2,000 men sexually harassed women on New Year’s Eve across Germany, but it will be impossible to track them all down, police said, adding that the attacks have been linked to mass migration.
Police said there were cases involving over 1,200 women, adding that apart from Cologne, sexual harassment was reported in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart and other cities across Germany.
The report from the Federal Office of Criminal Investigations (BKA) was seen by Germany's Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper and broadcasters NDR and WDR.
According to the report, at least 642 crimes of a purely sexual nature were reported in Germany. Plus, police registered 239 other “combined crimes” that involved both sexual assault and theft.
Of the 2,000 alleged attackers, only 120 have been identified so far, according to police reports. Many of the attacks were carried out in large groups.
“We need to assume that many of the perpetrators will not be investigated,” BKA President Holger Münch said, as cited by the paper.
According to police estimates, most of the identified offenders came from North Africa and over a half of the attackers had spent less than a year in Germany. This actually tells us nothing new.
Of the 2000 attackers, only 120 have actually been identified. The statement that "According to police estimates, most of the identified offenders came from North Africa and over a half of the attackers had spent less than a year in Germany," has to be read with that in mind. "Most of" refers to the 120 identified offenders, not the 'gross' figure of 2000. The identity of 94% of the perpetrators is simply unknown. They might be white, black, brown, yellow or green.
I don't suppose that will stop the anti-Muslim, anti-refugee making a predictable unpleasant fuss about it, though.

Er, well provided you ignore all of the descriptions of the mobs by survivors and propose that German men suddenly decided to commit mass attacks not seen in the country since the invasion of the Red Army and to do so in the cities that the asylum wave had settled and that the natives of similar cities outside of Germany decided the same and somehow also deceived survivors regarding their origins. And if you ignore all the stats that made Cologne depressingly predictable-(eg the revelation by Oslo police many years ago that 100% of aggravated rapes in the city were being committed by men from muslim countries whose immigrants arrive as asylum seekers)and that mob rape is an established phenomenon in the Arab world. I could go on but clearly you are of the school that believes left wing commitment requires one to believe manifestly false claims from the existence of campus rape culture to the non existence of the gang rape explosion amongst Muslim men.
Your have data to confirm that there were far fewer sexual assaults at previous New Years celebrations?
To be honest, 2000 sounds like a very low figure. I suspect far more take place, but as is usually the case with sexual assaults, most are unreported. Germany is a big country, and lots of people get drunk at New Year, leaving themselves vulnerable or possibly prone to doing things they wouldn't do sober.
And your claim that witnesses have provided descriptions of the 2000 attackers is simply fanciful. A handful of offenders have been identified, based on descriptions, footage and so on. The rest are unknown, and you are inventing stuff to suit your prejudices.
As for Oslo ... That claim relates to 5 incidents, which - as the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and the Police pointed out, is not enough to build any sort of conclusion on, and in all other categories of rape, European males predominated.

(Funny how Muslim haters fixate on the ethnic-cultural aspect (when it suits you, at least) but never on the factor that unites 99.99% of rapists ...)
